I've been working on this for the last two weeks. not so much on the models as the rendering techniques. Being new to Vray, i had to learn how to manipulate the raytracer. I also played with lens effects. The next part of the project is to figure out depth of field. It is very tricky with the models im using. This image depicts two or three popular mods of Skyrim. Im really happy with it. I would think about watermarking my new work, however, so few people see this i find it unnecessary. This is intellectual property of Bethesda Softworks anyway.

Renderers

3ds max
Vray 2.0
Vray 2.0 vs. 3ds max scan-line. since shaders weren't used during creation, mental ray doesn't work with these models. Vray is the obvious upgrade, although it takes longer, the ambient lighting and camera effects put it to the top. Vray is created by chaosgroup, and is the preferred render-er by artists.

Skyrim renders
Although its not original work these are my renders of them. its amazing how little resolution the game can handle. on my computer anyway. if the viewer cant handle it its because I rendered these at irregular resolutions.
WIP scene
Terragen cad
These were created with terragen, all images are computer generated using fractal models. the render is still strange to me but it still looks good. rendertime for these ran from 5 mins. to 8 hours. the more atmophere in the shot the longer the render.
